Nana's Superman Shake (revised and simplified)

If you've been following the blog for a while, you might remember the original Nana's Superman shake.  Yogurt and whey powder were among the ingredients, and the shake got it's name because I included a host of memory boosting, Alzheimer's fighting ingredients in honor of Nana (my grandmother died of Alzheimer's).  Since switching to a whole foods, plant based died, the shake had gone through several variations, most requiring a host of expensive ingredients all aimed at optimum health.  Discovering Brandon Braziers Vega One has been a game changer.  Made with only whole food, plant based ingredients in optimum portions, it takes the place of the ten or so ingredients I used to buy, and actually tastes good.  This is usually my breakfast, but it's great for post workout, a quick lunch, or just a way of filling out a nutritious diet.  I make my shakes in batches of three servings and store in a large seal-able pitcher inside the fridge.

Prep and ingredients:

Vega One: 2 Scoops
Almond Milk: 4 Cups
Banana: 1
Wild Blueberries: 1/2 Cup
Kale: 2+ Cups
Ice: 1 Cup

Put in a high powered blender.  Obliterate.  Serve and enjoy.
